In the world of Light Warden, newborns are accompanied by their own light bulb. The bulb shines brightest during their youth, and once the light dims, the person it belongs to is close to passing away. This has sadly been the case for Hugo, an elder bird. With each day that passes, his wings feel heavier and his feet get weaker. The chieftain’s daughter, Alina, notices this and befriends him.
One day, dark creatures called Shadow Wolves lurk around the village at. The wolves represent death. They turn to Hugo’s cottage and attack his light bulb, almost sucking out the light out of it completely. Alina startles and tries to shoo them away until sunrise.
It was at that moment that Alina realizes she wants to make a difference for Hugo. She heads off to a journey with him in search of the “Light Warden”, who the books tell is a powerful wizard, known to be the only person who can mend light and therefore life. Can the Warden save Hugo once they find him?
